IMPORTANT Voter Information: Mail-in Ballot Deadline Extended One Week and 2 NEW Ballot Box Drop-Off Location Added for TOMORROW ONLY in Cheltenham Township

Jenkintown Borough would like to share the following important election day information provided by State Representative Steve McCarter:

Mail-in ballot deadline extended one week

opens in a new windowGov. Tom Wolf signed an executive order today to give Montgomery County voters an additional week to return their mail-in ballots for the primary election being held tomorrow, June 2.

His executive order allows voters to return their ballots to locations determined by the county election board by 8 p.m. next Tuesday, June 9.

With the unprecedented number of mail-in ballots requested and the current state of emergency, this is a prudent decision to ensure everyone’s vote is counted.
The Montgomery County Board of Elections voted this morning to add five more secure ballot box drop-off locations throughout the county. The locations, which will be open only on Election Day, were identified by Voter Services as having the highest concentrations of requested but not returned ballots. One is in our area.

The five NEW boxes will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day ONLY—that’s tomorrow, June 2nd.

NEW ELECTION DAY ONLY BALLOT BOX DROP-OFF LOCATION:
Wall Park, 600 Church Road, Elkins Park, PA 19027

This new ballot drop-off box is in addition to the previously established ballot box drop-off location in the Eastern Courthouse Annex in Willow Grove, which is open today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Remember, you must drop off your own ballot. No one else can do it for you.
