Emergency Phone/Device Charging at Both Jenkintown Fire Companies, Thursday, June 4th

If you have a phone or an electronic device that needs charging the Jenkintown Fire Department has once again stepped up to meet a need of the community. Both Independent and Pioneer Fire Companies will open their doors again tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM to allow for the public to come and charge their phones and electronic devices.
Independent Fire Company at 609 Greenwood Avenue and Pioneer Fire Company at 700 Greenwood Avenue.

The Borough is in contact with PECO as they work to assess, prioritize and restore power to their customers. The PECO power outage map is available online  opens in a new windowhttps://www.peco.com/Outages/CheckOutageStatus/Pages/OutageMap.aspx  to track the estimated restoration date/time.

For the residents reporting not being able to access the PECO outage map, the map has been updated and is now reporting three areas of outage within the Borough the first area has 445 customers and is the South West (Summit/Greenwood/Walnut) with estimated restoration as June 4th at 11:00 PM. The second area is the West area (Florence/West) and that is shown to be affecting 397 customers and is now also showing the estimated restoration as June 4th at 11:00 PMand now a third area would be North (Cloverly/Runnymede) shown to be affecting 51 customers and is still under assessment.
