Trash and Recycling Collection to begin at 6:00 AM Tomorrow

Due to the timing of the forecasted inclement weather, associated freezing temperatures and possibility of icing conditions the collection of Curbside Trash and Recycling will begin being collected at 6:00 AM tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow, Friday, December 23th Republic Services will be starting the curbside collection of trash and recycling one hour earlier (6:00 AM) than usual so the routes can be completed and the drivers can safely complete their trips to the landfill and back to their home base of Telford, PA.
If you have trash or recycling to be picked up please place it curbside tonight or earlier then 6:00 AM tomorrow as the Borough has committed in assisting Republic Services in having their employees complete their tasks and making it home safely to their families for the Holidays. Read More »

2022 Holiday Information & Schedule of Events

Below is important information from the Borough regarding the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and holiday activities occurring in Town Square:

Borough Hall Closed – November 24th, 2022 and November 25th, 2022: Jenkintown Borough Hall will be closed on Thursday, November 24th, 2022 and Friday, November 25th, 2022 in recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday.  Borough Hall will reopen on Monday, November 28th, 2022 at 8:00 a.m.

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, trash and recycling Collection will be collected on Saturday, November 26th, 2022.

SEPTA Meeting With Borough Residents

Representatives of SEPTA conducted a meeting/presentation for Borough residents on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 6:00 pm in person at Jenkintown Borough Hall.

The Borough was notified by SEPTA that they would be holding a meeting with residents and providing a presentation regarding the SEPTA Jenkintown Stream Restoration/Flood Mitigation Project taking place on SEPTA property behind the homes on Runnymede Avenue. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the specifics of their project and answer questions from residents concerning the project.

While this was not a ‘Borough Public Meeting’, the Borough made Borough Hall available to SEPTA and to the public for the purpose of this meeting. The Borough also streamed the meeting virtually via Zoom, allowing residents to ask questions if they were unable to attend in person.  Additionally, the meeting was streamed live on the opens in a new windowBorough’s Facebook page.
