Today PECO’s subcontractor, Kehoe, finished the permanent restoration of the trench on Hillside Avenue from York Road to Walnut Street.

Due to the final permanent restoration being complete, the Borough’s subcontractor, General Asphalt Paving Co., will begin milling this Monday, August 21st at 7:00 AM on Rodman Avenue between Runnymede Avenue and Cloverly Avenue. This work is scheduled to end by 4:00 PM each day. During the milling operation residents will have access to their driveways with periodic disruption.

Additionally, the Borough has been notified that AQUA’s subcontractor, Giuliani, has completed the milling of Washington Lane between York Road and Newbold Road and Township Line Road between Washington Lane and Summit Avenue. Final paving of Washington Lane between York Road and Newbold Road and Township Line Road from Washington Lane to Summit Avenue will begin on Monday August 21st at 7:00 AM.  Residents will not have continuous access to their driveways during the paving operation and will not be able to access their driveway until the paving has cooled for traffic.

The Borough has been made aware that AQUA’s subcontractor, Juliani, has begun the milling operation on Washington Lane between York Road and Newbold Road today, August 16th, which was a day earlier than originally anticipated. The PECO gas main project is nearing completion. PECO’s subcontractor, Kehoe, is performing the final restoration of the trenches. Today the permanent restoration of the trench took place on Rodman Avenue from Runnymede Avenue to Myrtle Avenue. To perform the final restoration safely, Kehoe will be closing Rodman Avenue between Walnut Street and Myrtle Avenue and on Linda Vista Avenue between Runnymede Avenue and Cheltena Avenue tomorrow, August 16th. Final restoration of Shoemaker Avenue will be completed by the end of this week.

The Borough has just been informed that PECO has closed Rodman Avenue between Walnut Street and Cloverly today, August 3rd, to allow for the capping of the newly abandoned gas main. This road closure will last until approximately 4PM. Contractors will provide access to homes for residents who live in this area.

The following roads will experience closures tomorrow, Thursday, July 20th. Rodman Avenue between Myrtle and Florence Avenues, Clement Road between Rydal and Vernon Roads, and Vernon Road between Clement and Vista Roads. There will also be temporary road closures on Rydal Road. These roads will be closed tomorrow so that service connections can be made from the newly placed gas main to the individual residences as well as install new gas mains on Clement Road. Contractors will provide access to homes for residents who live in this area.  These road closures will last until approximately 4PM. These closures will take place to allow for PECO to perform the installations safely. At this time the current construction schedule calls for this work to be completed prior to the end of August 2017.
