If you have a phone or an electronic device that needs charging the Jenkintown Fire Department has once again stepped up to meet a need of the community. Both Independent and Pioneer Fire Companies will open their doors again tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM to allow for the public to come and charge their phones and electronic devices. Independent Fire Company at 609 Greenwood Avenue and Pioneer Fire Company at 700 Greenwood Avenue.
The intense storms that moved through the area this afternoon downed several large trees and many are without power. There are over 135,000 customers without power in Montgomery County.
Independent Fire Company at 609 Greenwood Avenue and Pioneer Fire Company at 700 Greenwood Avenue are both open to the Public to Charge your phones and portable devices. The firehouses will remain open until 9:30 PM this evening for the public’s convenience.

Correction to shared voter information — mail-in ballots must be postmarked by June 2
Jenkintown Borough would like to share the following revision to State Representative Steve McCarter’s election day information shared earlier today:
Dear Neighbor,
Please note: My earlier email to you contained an error. Voters with mail-in and absentee ballots must have the ballot postmarked no later than June 2 in order to be counted in the extension.
