2023 HOLIDAY INFORMATION & SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Below is important information from the Borough regarding the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and holiday activities occurring in Town Square:

Borough Hall Closed – November 23rd, 2023 and November 24th, 2023 in recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday. Borough Hall will reopen for business on Monday, November 27th, 2023 at 9:00 a.m.

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, trash and recycling curbside collection will be delayed one day and collected on Saturday, November 25th, 2023

Holiday Parking: Jenkintown Borough is pleased to announce that the holiday parking schedule begins Saturday, November 25th, 2023 and will continue through the end of December. Metered parking is free Wednesday evenings after 4pm and all day Saturday and Sunday. Fees are waived on those dates/times at any metered spot on the street or in either municipal lot.

Holiday Market: Everyone is invited to join a festive day of holiday cheer at the Jenkintown Holiday Market on Saturday, December 2nd, 11am – 4pm, in the heart of Jenkintown Town Square. Enjoy a delightful array of artisan vendors offering unique gifts and seasonal treats while enjoying live music performances and traditional holiday favorites that will fill the air through our PA system, enhancing the joyful atmosphere. Stay tuned for more information to come. (Rain date Sunday, December 3rd 1pm to 5pm)

Light Up The Square: The annual Holiday Tree Lighting event will be held on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 at 6:00 PM in Town Square. There will be music, refreshments, and a special visit from Santa at about 6:45 PM. 

Borough Hall Closed – December 25th, 2023: in recognition of the Christmas holiday. Borough Hall will reopen on Tuesday, December 26th, 2023 at 9:00 a.m.

Due to the Christmas holiday, trash and recycling curbside collection will be delayed by one day and collected on Saturday, December 30th, 2023. 

Borough Hall Closed – January 1st, 2024: in recognition of the New Year. Borough Hall will reopen on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024 at 9:00 a.m.
Due to the New Year’s holiday, trash and recycling curbside collection will be delayed by one day and collected on Saturday, January 6th, 2024.
