Below is important information from the Borough regarding the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and holiday activities occurring in Town Square:

Borough Hall Closed – November 26^th, 2020 and November 27^th, 2020: Jenkintown Borough Hall will be closed on Thursday, November 26^th, 2020 and Friday, November 27^th, 2020 in recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday.  Borough Hall will reopen on Monday, November 30^th, 2020 by appointment only.

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, trash and recycling Collection will be collected on Saturday, November 28^th, 2020.

Town Square Menorah Lighting: Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Town Square Menorah Lighting will not be a public event.  Although this is not a public event, the Menorah lighting will take place beginning at Sundown on Thursday, December 10th, 2020.

Light Up The Square: Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the annual Holiday Tree Lighting event will be postponed indefinitely. Although there will be no Tree lighting event, the Recreation Board in conjunction with the Jenkintown Fire Department will be planning a special visit from Santa on Saturday, December 5^th. Once more information is received, the Borough will distribute via email blast and on all social media platforms.

Holiday Parking: Jenkintown Borough is pleased to announce that the holiday parking schedule begins Saturday, November 28^th, 2020 and will continue through the end of December.  Metered parking is free Wednesday evenings after 4 PM and all-day Saturday and Sunday. Fees are waived on those dates/times at any metered spot on the street or in either municipal lot.

Borough Hall Hours – December 24^th, 2020: Jenkintown Borough Hall will be open on Thursday, December 24, 2020 by appointment only.

Borough Hall Closed – December 25, 2020: Jenkintown Borough Hall will be closed on Friday, December 25^th, 2020 in recognition of the Christmas holiday.  Borough Hall will reopen on Monday, December 28^th, 2020 by appointment only.

In observance of the Christmas holiday, trash and recycling Collection will be collected on Saturday, December 26^th, 2020.

Borough Hall Hours – December 31^st, 2020: Jenkintown Borough Hall will be open on Thursday, December 31^st, 2020 by appointment only.

Borough Hall Closed – January 1^st, 2021: Jenkintown Borough Hall will be closed on Friday, January 1^st, 2021 in recognition of the New Year.  Borough Hall will reopen on Monday, January 4^th, 2021 by appointment only.

Due to the New Year, trash and recycling Collection will be collected on Saturday, January 2^nd, 2021.
