Flu vaccines and U.S. Census Bureau Reminders

State Representative Steve McCarter shares a message below with helpful reminders:

Need a reminder to get your annual flu vaccine this season?

Text MONTCOFLU to 47177!

This flu season, we are partnering with Montgomery County Immunization Coalition (MCIC), Montgomery County Office of Public Health, and Families Fighting Flu to increase flu vaccination rates through text message reminders.

Once you text, you will be signed up to receive personalized flu-related information about where you can go to get your flu vaccine. 

As for the census, the  opens in a new windowU.S. Census Bureau began door-to-door visits in August to households that have not yet responded to the 2020 Census.

After the final deadline for the census was bumped up to Sept. 30 last month, the  opens in a new windowU.S. Census Bureau is adapting operations as best it can to ensure everybody is counted.

Remember, if you haven’t already, you can  opens in a new windowfill out the census (in mere minutes) online, via phone or by mail.
