Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible in our area today, May 29, from late this afternoon through tonight. According to the opens in a new windowNational Weather Service, the primary hazard will be damaging winds, with threads of hail and an isolated tornado. The threat will be greatest between 4 PM and 11 PM. Locally heavy rainfall is also possible which could lead to flash flooding.
Jenkintown Borough’s Public Works crews have prepared known low lying areas within the Borough. Please continue to adhere to the “temporary no parking” signs posted in known potential flash flood areas.
