PECO Accelerated Gas Infrastructure Modernization Project Update

Borough has been notified by PECO’s subcontractor, Henkels & McCoy, that the Accelerated Gas Infrastructure Modernization Project (AGIMP) will continue the week of Monday, April 6th.  Runnymede Avenue between Florence and Myrtle Avenues, Florence Avenue between Runnymede and Rodman Avenues AND Hillside Avenue between Walnut Street and Highland Avenue will be closed to thru traffic for approximately one week beginning Monday, April 6th from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM to allow for the installation of new gas mains to be safely completed in these areas.

Residents will continue to have access to their properties during this process.  If you do not reside on this road please take another route during these times to avoid disruption of your travels.

Natural Gas Service Upgrades
PECO has completed installation of new gas mains and will begin natural gas service upgrades outside of homes beginning Monday, April 6th on Runnymede Avenue between Cloverly & Elm Avenues.   PECO will not need access inside of homes at this time.  Only necessary work will be completed outside from the gas main trench to the property line. Any areas impacted will be repaired and ALL areas will be restored to their original condition.
