Our borough, state, country, and the world continue to be watching the progress of this COVID-19 emergency very carefully.

A major focus is to try to flatten the curve of the number of incidents and to minimize the effect on our healthcare system for the health and safety of all.

For these reasons we remind you to continue to STAY PHYSICALLY DISTANT FROM ONE ANOTHER.

Jenkintown Borough is abiding by Governor Wolf’s “Stay at Home” order and to Montgomery County Commissioners recommendations urging people to STAY AT HOME until April 6, 2020.

We urge you to STAY AT HOME and to respect that some public spaces must be closed for the safety of all.

The school property is closed – including the tennis courts, playground, and open fields.

THE POLICE STATION & BOROUGH HALL CONTINUE TO BE CLOSED. Borough operations are limited to essential services only.

We are saddened to report that Montgomery County has informed us that there are two positive documented cases in Jenkintown Borough.

We wish the best for these individuals and hope for their complete recovery.

This report underscores the need for all of us to take seriously the warnings to STAY AT HOME AND MAINTAINING SOCIAL/PHYSICAL DISTANCING.

Even while we are staying physically distant – we hope you will stay socially connected and watch out for one another. Check in remotely with your neighbors. If you are concerned about someone in distress call the nonemergency police number – 610-635-4300.
If someone needs medical attention immediately, call 911.

Stay safe.
