PECO Accelerated Gas Infrastructure Modernization Project Update

The Borough has been notified by PECO’s subcontractor, Henkels & McCoy, that the Accelerated Gas Infrastructure Modernization Project (AGIMP) will continue the week of Monday, May 4th.  Runnymede Avenue between Cloverly and Elm Avenues will be closed to thru traffic for approximately one week beginning Monday, May 4th from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and there will be a lane closure on Walnut Street between Rodman and Hillside Avenues from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM to allow for the installation of new gas mains to be safely completed in these areas.  Flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic control due to temporary lane closures.

Residents will continue to have access to their properties during this process.  If you do not reside on this road please take another route during these times to avoid disruption of your travels.

Natural Gas Service Upgrades
PECO has completed installation of new gas mains and will begin natural gas service upgrades outside of homes beginning Monday, May 4th on Runnymede Avenue between Walnut Street and Myrtle Avenue.   PECO will not need access inside of homes at this time.  Only necessary work will be completed outside from the gas main trench to the property line. Any areas impacted will be repaired and ALL areas will be restored to their original condition.
