Florence Avenue between Rodman and Hillside Avenues, Rodman Avenue between Linda Vista and Elm Avenues and Hillside Avenues between Elm Avenue and Walnut Street will be closed today, June 2nd. Tomorrow morning in Town Square, at 9 a.m., Jenkintown Rec Board and photojournalist/borough resident Jon Adams will host a “get to know your borough and get to know your camera” event.
Using a list of clues, participants will search for many of the wonderful photographic subjects that make our borough fun, unique, kitschy and historic. From mid-May until mid-October, the Jenkintown Public Works Department works through the Borough to sweep the streets. The Public Works Department has outlined a 3 route schedule that will travel along the streets on specific days.
Rodman Avenue between Myrtle Avenue and Florence Avenue will be closed to thru traffic today, Wednesday, May 24th. The road closure will last until approximately 3:30PM. This closure will take place to allow for PECO to continue the trenching for new gas mains.

The Jenkintown Recreation Board is proud to host a special, early Summer Music Series concert tonight, Tuesday, May 23, at 7PM. Come down to Town Square and support our very own Jenkintown High School Jazz Combo & Friends. While there, pick up a postcard flyer to put on your fridge so you won’t miss any of the fun concerts coming up this summer. As is tradition, refreshments in the form of water and ice pops will be provided by the Rec Board.
