Road Closures for Friday August 4th

As the PECO gas main project is winding down, the following road will experience closures tomorrow Friday, August 4th. Rodman Avenue between Walnut Street and Runnymede Avenue to allow for the capping of the newly abandoned gas main. As well as temporary road closures on Rodman Avenue from Walnut Street to Cloverly Aveune to allow for the removal of steel plates and trench repair.

ZHB Continuance for 610 York Road Tonight!

The Zoning Hearing Board of the Borough of Jenkintown will hold a public meeting tonight, August 2nd, 2017 at 7:00pm. in Borough Hall, 700 Summit Avenue, Jenkintown, PA 19046 for the continuance of the application of JJLH of Jenkintown LLC, on behalf of Faulkner Nissan, of 610 York Road, Jenkintown, Pa 19046. The Applicant is appealing the decision of the Zoning Officer and is requesting a special exception, and variances sections 181-57, 181-58A, 181-43.C.1.c.1, 181-43.C.1.c.2, 181-43.C.1.c.3, 181-74, and Article XIV to use the existing lot as surface parking for Faulkner Nissan at 610 York Road Jenkintown PA 19046. All affected or interested parties are invited to attend and offer testimony.

Firefighter Camp Starts Tomorrow, August 3rd!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a FIREFIGHTER?  This is great opportunity to find out! The Independent Fire Company of Jenkintown is proud to  present Firefighter Camp.

This FREE camp, offered by the volunteers who serve as the officers and members of the Company, will be on hand to teach interested individuals what it is like to be a Firefighter.
