Trash, Recycling & Yard Debris Schedule for 4th of July Holiday

In observance of Independence Day, trash and recycling will be collected Saturday, July 8th. Residents are reminded to have all items for collection out by 7:00 a.m. in order to ensure collection. Also, in observance of Independence Day, Tuesday’s yard debris and special pick up will be collected Wednesday July 5th.

Borough Hall will be closed tomorrow, July 4th, to celebrate the 4th of July holiday. Borough Hall will reopen Wednesday July 5th at 8:00 AM.

Road Closures for Wednesday June 28th

Rodman Avenue between Elm Avenue and Walnut Street and also between Myrtle Avenue and Walnut Street as well as Hillside Avenue between York Road and Leedom Street and also between Maple and Cedar Streets will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday June 28th. The road closure will last until approximately 4PM. These closures will take place to allow for PECO to continue the trenching for new gas mains. There will also be periodic lane closures on Walnut Street between Runnymede and Cheltena Avenues.

Road Closures for Friday June 23rd

Linda Vista Avenue between Cheltena and Rodman Avenues, as well as Hillside Avenue between Elm Avenue and Walnut Street will be closed today, June 23rd. The road closure will last until approximately 4PM. These closures will take place to allow for PECO to continue the trenching for new gas services.

Contractors will provide access to homes for residents who live in this area.  Please make plans to take an alternate route to avoid further disruption to your travels. Thank you for your patience and understanding while these necessary repairs are made.

Cedar Street Closed Today, June 23rd

Cedar Street from Shoemaker to Cheltena Avenues will be closed today, June 23rd until 4P.M.  The closure will be taking place to complete the emergency storm repairs.  

Homeowners in this area will have access to their homes through Shoemaker Avenue.  Please make plans to take an alternate route to avoid further disruption to your travels. Thank you for your patience and understanding while these necessary repairs are made.
