Labor Day Delay in Trash Schedule

Due to the observance of Labor Day, trash and recycling will be collected Saturday, September 9th. Residents are reminded to have all items for collection out by 7:00 a.m. in order to ensure collection.

Road Closures for Thursday August 24th

Today, Wednesday, August 23rd, the Borough’s subcontractor, General Asphalt Paving Co., completed the paving of Shoemaker Avenue (entire length) and Rodman Avenue between Runnymede Avenue and Walnut Street.

General Asphalt will be paving tomorrow, Thursday, August 24th at 7:00 AM on Linda Vista Avenue between Cheltena and Runnymede Avenues, as well as Rodman Avenue between Walnut Street and Cloverly Avenue.  Due to paving Rodman Avenue, Elm Avenue between Cheltena and Runnymede Avenues will be closed tomorrow, Thursday August 24th. 2017 Paving Project Update

Today, Tuesday, August 22nd, the Borough’s subcontractor, General Asphalt Paving Co., completed the milling of Rodman Avenue between Runnymede Avenue and Cloverly Avenue.This has completed the milling of the roads on the 2017 Paving project.

General Asphalt will begin paving tomorrow, Wednesday, August 23rd at 7:00 AM on Shoemaker Avenue between Leedom Street and Hillside Avenue. The paving operation will then continue onto Linda Vista Avenue between Cheltena and Runnymede Avenues, as well as Rodman Avenue between Runnymede and Cloverly Avenues is scheduled to be paved tomorrow.  Paving of these roads are scheduled to end by 4:00 PM each day and is expected to be completed in two to three days.

Please have all cars removed from Linda Vista Avenue, Shoemaker Avenue and Rodman Avenue prior to 6:30 AM. Additionally, during the paving operation residents will not have continuous access to their driveways and will not be able to access their driveway until the paving has cooled for traffic.

Tonight’s SMS continues with a double-header of two new homegrown bands!

This week’s penultimate Summer Music Series concert is a double-header debut of two new homegrown bands. First up is a currently unnamed three-piece band led by Basil Khan on guitar and vocals, Jamail Khan on drums, and Ben Farr on bass. They are sure to entertain with a set of all original songs, written by Basil himself! Immediately following will be the debut of Camera Thief, featuring Pasquale DeFazio, Brendan Duffey, Robert DeFazio, Joe Hartnett, and Joe Duffey.
