The 500 Block of Cedar Street will be closed between Cheltena Avenue and Shoemaker Avenue to all through traffic today, April 17, 2018 from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM. This closure will take place to allow Jenkintown Public Works to repair an underground water leak. During this process, residents will be able to access driveways and will be able to enter and exit at Shoemaker Avenue.
Please make plans to take an alternate route to avoid further disruption to your travels. Thank you for your patience and understanding while these necessary improvements are made.

Thanks to a resident who provided this information and allowed the Borough to share with the residents of Jenkintown to help battle those pesky pests. Mosquitos need standing water and a blood meal in order to reproduce—by eliminating water sources around your house, and by avoiding bites, we can reduce the mosquito population. But we can work together as a community and beat these pests! So please help—dump out containers of water in your yard, clean your gutters, and please share this flyer containing valuable information.

However, please be cautious of potholes, especially if driving at night or during inclement weather as they are less visible.
The Jenkintown Public Works Department has been documenting the pothole locations and addressing them with temporary patch material as time and weather allows. Extreme cases are addressed immediately. Read More »
