Jenkintown Borough has been notified by Republic Services (the Borough’s trash and recycling hauler), that the curbside pickup of trash and recycling in the Borough, will be delayed one day this week until Saturday, June 1st. This delay is due to last Monday’s Memorial Day Holiday.
Trash and recycling will be picked up this week on Saturday, June 1st.

Are you having a Graduation Party and using Solo Cups? Please consider recycling your empty party cups through Terracycle. There will be blue bins outside of Borough Hall & in Town Square starting Friday. They will be marked with the following flyer and picked up on Monday.

The sound of music will be wafting through the trees of Jenkintown’s beautiful Town Square this summer, with free, live music scheduled for every Tuesday night at 7 PM. Hometown favorite, Jenkintown High School Jazz Ensemble, will be playing in Town Square,tonight Tuesday May 21st, from 7pm – 9pm! It’s going to be a ton of fun, so you don’t want to miss it!
Town Square is going to be bursting at the seams with food, fun, and fantastic music, every Tuesday night, all summer long, so bring a lawn chair, pack a picnic basket, bring a cooler, and invite your friends to enjoy the twilight music at Town Square every Tuesday night this summer.
AQUA has notified the Borough that Summit Avenue, between Wyncote Road and Greenwood Avenue, will be closed today, Monday, May 20th to all through traffic until 3:00 PM. The road closure is to allow Caddick, AQUA’s subcontractor, to replace a fire hydrant on the 100 block of Summit Avenue. The road closure will take place to ensure the safety for both the General Public as well as the workers.
Please make plans to take an alternate route during the time listed above to avoid further disruption to your travels. Residents residing on the 100 block of Summit Avenue will have access to their driveways. Thank you for your patience and understanding while these necessary upgrades are made.
