Mayor Dobbs has declared a snow emergency in the Borough of Jenkintown beginning today, February 6th, 8:00 PM expiring Sunday, February 7th at 8:00 PM. Residents with access to a driveway are asked to please park in it. If you do not have access to a driveway please park as close to the curb as possible to allow for the safe passage of the Borough plow trucks. The forecast is for a significant snow accumulation (4-7″) with some freezing rain. The low temperatures and anticipated wintry mix are expected to make for treacherous driving conditions throughout this winter storm. If you must travel please take along the recommended safety gear and allow extra time to navigate the expected icy roads. WINTER STORM WARNING: February 7th
- The Public Works Department has been preparing for the potential threat of severe weather currently forecasted to begin Sunday February 7th. According to the most recent update by the National Weather Service the storm forecast to begin with prolonged snowfall and potential significant accumulations combined with a possible wintery mix which will create unsafe travel conditions. No Delay for Curbside Trash and Recycling Collection Tomorrow
