As a reminder to residents, trash and recycling will be picked up a day later than usual due to the Christmas and New Years holidays. Trash and recycling is normally picked up in the Borough on Fridays. However, during the week of Christmas and the week of New Years trash will be collected on Saturday, December 30th and Saturday, January 6th.

BOROUGH COUNCIL VACANCY
Jenkintown Borough Council is seeking to fill a vacancy on Borough Council. The term will expire on January 1st, 2019. Interested persons must be a registered elector living in the Third Ward of Jenkintown Borough for at least one year. Revised Special Leaf Pickup Postponed
Due to the snowfall that occurred during the early morning hours, the Borough’s Leaf Pickup schedule has been postponed. The remainder of Leaf Route 2 will be completed on Monday, December 18th. Any addresses that are on Route 3 which was originally scheduled for today, December 14th, have also been postponed and will be picked up on Monday, December 18th. The Borough would like to apologize for any confusion that has occurred. The winter weather has seemed to creep in earlier then expected, and unfortunately for us Mother Nature has caused some delays. Borough Administration Office Temporarily Closed 12/15
The Borough Administrative Office will be upgrading their phone, computer and IT services this coming Friday December 15th!
Due to the temporary loss of phone service and computer access, Borough Hall will be closed Friday December 15th from 11AM until 3PM. Borough Hall is expected to be re-open on the same day, December 15th at 3PM. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause as this was not a scheduled procedure.

Special Leaf Pickup Postponed
Due to the snowfall that occurred during the early morning, the Borough’s Leaf Pickup schedule has been postponed. Any addresses that are on Route 3 which was originally scheduled for today, December 14th, has been postponed and will be picked up on Monday, December 18th.
Furthermore, the remaining leaf routes will also be postponed to reflect the delay. Route 4, that was originally scheduled for Monday the 18th, will now be picked up on Tuesday the 19th. Route 5, should not change and will still be picked up on Wednesday the 20th.
