Borough Hall has been closed for today Monday 4/15/19

Jenkintown Borough hall will be closed this afternoon, Monday, April 15th. The closing is to allow the Professional Structural Engineers to complete their thorough structural inspection of the demolition at 610 Summit Avenue as it applies to the common wall with Borough hall. The property owner of 610 Summit Avenue has been responsive and has communicated to the Borough their intent to do everything possible to make the site safe and complete the demolition expeditiously. The demolition of the common wall is scheduled to be completed by the end of the work day on Wednesday 4/17. Spring is in the air and that means the Jenkintown School District Red and Blue Fair and Color Day are just around the corner!!

Annual Spring Hunt This Weekend, April 13th

The 2019 Recreation Board season finally begins this weekend with the egg-citing annual Jenkintown Spring Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 13th beginning at 10 AM at the School Playground!

Children ages 4+ will begin their hunt around the Playground area starting at 10:15 AM, while the 3 and under children will have a separate hunt in the Baseball field.

PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BAG OR BASKET!!!!

But, that’s not the end of the fun! Some eggs have special prizes inside donated by local businesses including White Horse, Sweet Escapes and David Arnold Salon. In addition, look out for a special guest appearance by the Bunny! See the flyer attached hereopens IMAGE file for more details.

Runnymede Avenue Road Closure Tomorrow April 4th

Runnymede Avenue between Florence and Myrtle Avenues will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, April 4th to all through traffic from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM. The road closure is to allow the Borough to complete final restoration to the roadway as a result of the completed storm sewer infrastructure work  addressing the ground water issue. The road closure will take place to ensure the safety for both the General Public as well as the workers.

Please make plans to take an alternate route during the time listed above to avoid further disruption to your travels. Residents residing on the 200 block of Runnymede will have complete access to their driveways. Thank you for your patience and understanding while these necessary repairs are made.
