Message from the Jenkintown Police Department and Jenkintown Borough
The Jenkintown Police Department and Jenkintown Borough continue working to improve the Parking of Vehicles within Jenkintown Borough.
As the Borough transitions to the next generation of parking meters and parking payment options there will be changes to the current payment methods. The three current Parking Kiosks located in the Town Square (Greenwood) lot, and the Greenwood/Leedom lots will no longer accept credit cards for payment. Payments at these three Kiosks can now be made with US dollar bills, US change or by using the ParkMobile payment method currently in use in the Borough by using Zone # 1603.
The Borough was JUST notified by Republic Services that trash and recycling will be collected tomorrow, Friday, June 21st.
The Borough’scurbside trash and recycling collection will NOT be delayed and will be picked up as usual tomorrow (on Friday). We apologize for the confusion this has caused.

Due to the pending snowstorm, the Borough’s contracted waste hauler Republic Services will be providing curbside collection of trash and recycling tomorrow morning (Friday). The collection will begin at 4:00 AM to allow the entire Borough to be collected before the forecasted storm worsens.
Please place your trash and recycling curbside today (Thursday) and it will be picked up tomorrow morning (Friday) starting at 4:00 AM.
This unusual service hour was offered by Republic Services and accepted by the Borough to enable the weekly curbside pickup to take place safely and allow employees that are performing the work to travel safely.

Due to the observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 15th, the Borough’s curbside trash and recycling collection will be delayed one day and will be collected on Saturday, January 20th, 2024.
