Homecoming Bonfire Information

Join us tonight, Thursday October 5th, at 7PM for the kickoff of the Jenkintown Drakes 2017 Homecoming by participating in the annual Homecoming Bonfire!

Due to the baseball fields being recently renovated, this year the School District has chosen to hold the bonfire in the JHS Stadium, on the corner of Greenwood & Highland Avenues. The Borough Administration, Fire Marshal, Borough Fire Chief, and Jenkintown School District have reviewed all site conditions, size, fuel, safety plan and other details to ensure the safety of the participants and surrounding areas.

The Borough has placed “No Parking” signs on Greenwood Avenue between Walnut Street and Highland Avenue as well as on Highland Avenue between Greenwood Avenue and the link.

Residents may park in the Teacher’s Lot off of Highland Avenue to attend the event. Please note however, that Greenwood Avenue between Walnut Street and Highland Avenue will be closed to allow for the staging of fire apparatus.

Additionally, the Jenkintown Drakes will be hosting events tomorrow afternoon and tomorrow evening including the Jenkintown Drakes vs. the Morrisville Bulldogs. For more information please see the flyer attached opens in a new windowhereopens IMAGE file .
