Mayor Dobbs has declared a snow emergency in the Borough of Jenkintown beginning tomorrow, December 16th at 8:00 AM and expiring Thursday, December 17th at 12:00 Noon. Residents with access to a driveway are asked to please park in it. If you do not have
access to a driveway please park as close to the curb as possible to allow for the safe passage of the Borough plow trucks. The forecast is for a significant snow accumulation with freezing rain. The low temperatures and anticipated wintry mix are expected to make the roads very slippery throughout the winter storm. If you must travel please take along the recommended safety gear and allow extra time to navigate the expected icy roads. The Jenkintown Police Department and Public Works Department will be staffed throughout the entire storm and are prepared to respond accordingly.

- Borough Hall: will be closed for business tomorrow, December 16th and Thursday, December 17th. Borough Hall will be re-open for business by appointment only on Friday, December 18th.
- Public Works: The Jenkintown Borough Public Works Department began preparing the storm response equipment on Friday and brined the roads throughout the Borough today in preparation for the storm. will continue to work through the duration of the storm salting and plowing when needed in order to keep the roads clear for emergency vehicles.
