SEPTA REPORTS OVERNIGHT TRACK ACTIVITY

The Borough has been notified of an unexpected situation by SEPTA, the Stony Creek Bridge in Montgomery County (near SEPTA’s Norristown line) has been hit and damaged. The Bridge is currently unable to be used.
CSX uses this bridge and has asked SEPTA to allow its trains to temporarily stop at the Jenkintown-Wyncote Station between 12:00 Midnight
and 2:00 AM for train inspections beginning tonight 9/25, and continuing until the bridge has been repaired. Currently CSX anticipates their trains
will need to stage here Sundays through Fridays. Once the repairs are complete, trains are expected to go back to their regular routing.

SEPTA apologized for the short notice and any inconvenience created by this emergency situation.

The Borough will share this and additional information on it’s social media platforms once it becomes available including projected duration of repairs to the damaged Bridge.

Thank you for your patience during this temporary time.
