The PECO gas main project is nearing completion. PECO’s subcontractor, Kehoe, is performing the final restoration of the trenches. Today the permanent restoration of the trench took place on Rodman Avenue from Runnymede Avenue to Myrtle Avenue. To perform the final restoration safely, Kehoe will be closing Rodman Avenue between Walnut Street and Myrtle Avenue and on Linda Vista Avenue between Runnymede Avenue and Cheltena Avenue tomorrow, August 16th. Final restoration of Shoemaker Avenue will be completed by the end of this week.
These road closure will last until approximately 4PM. Contractors will provide access to homes for residents who live in this area.
Additionally,The Borough has been notified by AQUA that they will be milling Washington Lane between York Road and Greenwood Avenue on Thursday August 17th, beginning at 7:00AM and ending by 5:00PM. During the milling operation residents will have access to their driveways with periodic disruption.
Paving of Washington Lane between York Road and Greenwood Avenue will begin Friday August 18th, beginning at 7:00AM. Residents will not have continuous access to their driveways during the paving operation and will not be able to access their driveway until the paving has cooled for traffic.
Please make plans to take an alternate route to avoid further disruption to your travels. Thank you for your patience and understanding while these necessary improvements are made.
