Jenkintown Borough Council is seeking to fill vacancies on the Recreation Board, Civil Service Commission and Design Review Board.

The Jenkintown Recreation Board can have between seven and twelve members, two of which must be appointed by the School Board. Members are appointed to either two or three year terms. There are currently five positions that need to be filled. Functions of the Recreation Board include organizing and supervising events including but not limited to the Summer Music Series, Scare in the Square, Chili Cook Off, Light up The Square, Spring Egg Hunt and the Annual Pumpkin Drop. The Jenkintown Civil Service Commission are appointed to six year terms. There is currently one position that needs to be filled. Functions of the Civil Service Commission include regulating the employment and working conditions of civil servants, oversee hiring and promotions, and promote the values of the public service.

The Jenkintown Design Review Board members are appointed to five year terms. There is currently one position that needs to be filled. Functions of the Design Review Board includes the construction of new dwellings and the modification of the exterior design of existing dwellings within the Borough.
