The Shade Tree Commission of Jenkintown (STC) is interested in training additional tree tenders. The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) is offering a basic tree tender’s course. It is a hands-on class that teaches things like how to property plant, prune, maintain, and identify trees.
The cost for this course is $40, however the STC will reimburse you once you successfully complete the course. It’s typically a 3 night course, for about 3 hours a night. If you are interested, please email jenkintownshadetree@gmail.comcreate new email prior to registering for the class. You must be a resident of Jenkintown Borough to be reimbursed for this course. We will support the first 7 people who register and complete the course.
