The Borough is happy to share the complete list of events for the 2015 Holiday season.  Included in the list are dates and times for ceremonies, Borough Hall hours of operation, special pick up dates for trash and recycling collection as well as parking information!  

Light Up The Square: The annual Holiday Tree Lighting event will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in Town Square.  There will be music, refreshments, and a special visit from Santa at about 6:45 p.m.

PHS Meadowbrook Farm Holiday Open House: PHS Meadowbrook Farm will hold a holiday open house on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  This event will offer fun activities for children, including a visit from Santa, story time with Ms. Claus for a cookie-decorating craft and s’mores all day.  There will also be shopping all day, including such items as scented and taper candles, decorative matches, cozy scarves, tabletop décor, glittering ornaments and more.  More information on this event may be found on the organization’s website, which has been linked here.

Town Square Menorah Lighting: The Town Square Menorah Lighting will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in Town Square.  This event will feature festivities and refreshments will also be served.

Holiday Parking: Jenkintown Borough is pleased to announce that the Holiday parking schedule begins November 28, 2015 and will continue through the end of December. All metered parking is free Wednesday evenings after 4:00 p.m. and all day Saturday & Sunday. Parking fees are waived on those dates/times at any metered spot on the street or in either municipal lot.

Borough Hall Hours – December 24, 2015: Jenkintown Borough Hall will be open on Thursday, December 24, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Borough Hall Closed – December 25, 2015: Jenkintown Borough Hall will be closed on Friday, December 25, 2015 in recognition of the Christmas holiday.  Borough Hall will reopen on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 8:00 a.m.

Trash and recycling Collection will be collected on Saturday, December 26, 2015.

Borough Hall Hours – December 31, 2015: Jenkintown Borough Hall will be open on Thursday, December 31, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Borough Hall Closed – January 1, 2016: Jenkintown Borough Hall will be closed on Friday, January 1, 2016 in recognition of the New Year.  Borough Hall will reopen on Monday, January 4, 2015 at 8:00 a.m.

Trash and recycling Collection will be collected on Saturday January 2, 2016.
