Snow Emergency Declared by Mayor Dobbs

Mayor Dobbs has declared a snow emergency in the Borough of Jenkintown beginning today, 4:00 PM and expiring 4:00 PM tomorrow, Monday March 4th, 2019. Residents with a driveway are asked to please park in it.  If you do not have a driveway please park as close to the curb as possible to allow for safe passage of the Borough plow trucks. The forecast snow accumulation currently varies greatly (from 2″ to 8″), and differs by agency making the prediction. The temperatures are expected to make the roads very slippery throughout the night and in to rush hour traffic. If you must travel please take along the recommended safety gear and allow extra time to navigate the expected icy roads. The Jenkintown Police Department and Public Works Department will be staffed throughout the entire storm and are prepared to respond accordingly.
