Special “Informative Events” Hosted By Jenkintown’s Environmental Advisory Committee, Tuesday at The Summer Music Series
On Tuesday evenings during the Jenkintown Rec Board Summer Music Series on the Town Square, the Jenkintown Environmental Advisory Committee (JEAC) will have a table set up to offer advice and information on a variety of topics that are CURRENT ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS to many people.
Tuesday, July 2 at 6:30 join the JEAC as they explore the subject of how to obtain a free shade tree in the Borough and also learn what you can do to eliminate the dreaded Spotted Lanternfly.

Trash & Recycling pick-up delayed to 7/6
Due to the National July 4th Holiday this week, curbside trash and recycling pick-up will be POSTPONED ONE DAY until Saturday, July 6th.

Tonight’s Summer Music Series
The Summer Music Series continues in Town Square tonight, June 25th, 2019 at 7PM with Acoustic Keys & Young Friends. Come and check-out a duo featuring Joe Mahoney and Lisa Ridenour with their vocal harmonies, 6 and 12-string guitars, keyboard and melodica, performing Americana, folk, classic rock and indie music.
Town Square will be filled to the brim tonight, so be sure to grab your seat early! The music starts promptly at 7pm. But, wait, there’s more! The Summer Music Series will be sharing Town Square with the returning Jenkintown Farmer’s Market, which runs from 6:00pm – 9:00pm. Their vendor list this year includes both food and spirits!
Like butterflies? Join the JEAC tonight at 6:30pm in Town Square where Butterfly lady, Judi Levicoff, will offer information on how to support these beneficial and beautiful insects. Highland Avenue Road Closure
The AQUA watermain project began today Thursday, June 20, 2019 on Highland Avenue. Highland Avenue will be closed to “thru traffic” so the roadway can be excavated and the new watermain installed safely. Highland Avenue is expected to re-open to “thru traffic” on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.
Excavation for the new watermain on Walnut Street will immediately follow this portion of the project. Information from this project is shown below from the previous email blast.
