Jenkintown Borough was just notified by Aqua Pennsylvania’s subcontractor, Caddick Utilities, that Walnut Street, between Greenwood & West Avenues will be closed beginning today, August 6^th through Friday August 9^th to allow for the installation of services to individual residents. Caddick completed the new water main installations which have passed the purification tests.

The Borough has been notified that JOSS Realty and SEPTA will be holding an open house at the Historic Jenkintown-Wyncote Train Station to share and discuss the Accessibility Station Improvements, Expanded Parking and Retail Development.

The Open House will be held on Wednesday, August 7th from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the Historic Jenkintown Station Building located at 2 Greenwood Avenue, Jenkintown PA 19046.

Representatives from SEPTA and JOSS Realty will be available to answer questions on all of the improvements! For more information please see the flyer here!

TOMORROW, July 30, 2019, at 6:30 PM the Jenkintown Environmental Advisory Committee will host a Special Informative Demonstration at their “Block Party Community Event”. Greenwood Avenue will be closed to vehicles from Leedom Street to the entrance of the municipal parking lot from 6:30 to 9:00 PM to make room for the festivities. The JEAC has arranged for an Expert, Solar Powered Technology Presentation by Ph.D. Candidate, Nicholas Valdes of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Institute of Energy Conversion University of Delaware.
