Please note the Borough Administration will be closing at 2:00 pm today, February 9th, to allow staff to safely travel home. The Borough Administration will reopen as normal tomorrow, February 10th at 8:00 am. Borough officials have been notified by AQUA PA of a water main break near the intersection of Walnut Street and Greenwood Avenue. Officials from AQUA PA are on site at this time and have isolated the area of the break in order to limit the disruption in water service to the surrounding area and make all necessary repairs. At this time AQUA is reporting that water service has been disrupted on the 300 block of Walnut Street. In order to facilitate the repair work, Walnut Street between West Avenue and Greenwood Avenue will be closed until further notice. AQUA is estimating that it may take approximately 4 to 8 hours to complete the repairs. Borough officials ask that you please use caution when driving in this area as roads may be icy.
