Latest Borough Parking Updates

During the January 24th, 2018 Council Meeting, Jenkintown Borough Council approved a contract with ParkMobile, an online parking payment system. The ParkMobile program will allow residents and visitors to conveniently pay through their cellphones, in hopes of eliminating the practice and anxiety of having to ‘feed the meter’ when guests would rather be able to enjoy their stay in town watching a movie, shopping, or dining without the additional reason to feel worried. More information will be distributed once the website goes live.

Additionally, in 2017 a parking study was completed by the Montgomery County Planners & the Jenkintown Borough Administration per the request of Borough Council.  In analyzing the results of all research, it was determined that the current parking fees and rate structure, which had not been updated in decades, was no longer sufficient to support its current operating costs.
