The Jenkintown Recreation Board is proud to host a special, early Summer Music Series concert tonight, Tuesday, May 23, at 7PM. Come down to Town Square and support our very own Jenkintown High School Jazz Combo & Friends. While there, pick up a postcard flyer to put on your fridge so you won’t miss any of the fun concerts coming up this summer. As is tradition, refreshments in the form of water and ice pops will be provided by the Rec Board.

The Jenkintown Environmental Advisory Committee will meet on Wednesday May 17 at 7 pm to invite further input from residents on how to best use green space in the Borough. Lucinda Bartley will give a presentation on models of pocket parks and results from the recent survey on green space. We will also discuss the next steps toward becoming an Audubon Bird Town.
There will be a bird walk in Jenkintown on Saturday April 29 beginning at 10am with hosts at four locations in the Borough to watch birds and learn how to locally to support habitat for birds. This event is organized in collaboration with the Wyncote Audubon Society and the Briar Bush Nature Center.
At the request of the applicant, a continuance has been granted for the Zoning Hearing Board Hearing scheduled on April 27th, 2017 regarding 610 York Road. This hearing will be re-scheduled in the near future and notices will be sent to all affected parties as required by the Jenkintown Borough Code.
