The Summer Music Series continues in Town Square tonight, June 25^th, 2019 at 7PM with Acoustic Keys & Young Friends. Come and check-out a duo featuring Joe Mahoney and Lisa Ridenour with their vocal harmonies, 6 and 12-string guitars, keyboard and melodica, performing Americana, folk, classic rock and indie music.

Town Square will be filled to the brim tonight, so be sure to grab your seat early! The music starts promptly at 7pm. But, wait, there’s more! The Summer Music Series will be sharing Town Square with the returning Jenkintown Farmer’s Market, which runs from 6:00pm – 9:00pm. Their vendor list this year includes both food and spirits!

The AQUA watermain project began today Thursday, June 20, 2019 on Highland Avenue.  Highland Avenue will be closed to “thru traffic” so the roadway can be excavated and the new watermain installed safely. Highland Avenue is expected to re-open to “thru traffic” on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.

In accordance with the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit issued by the PA Department of Environmental Protection, Jenkintown Borough is required to implement good housekeeping strategies to prevent pollution in stormwater runoff from municipal operations, including roadways. Pollutants collect on the Borough’s roads between rain events from vehicle emissions, winter deicing operations, trash, road wear and tear, and grass clippings from adjacent properties.

This year’s schedule is slated to begin Monday June 10^th. The 2019 schedule and map provided hereopens PDF file show the dates your street will be cleaned. The schedule and map are available on the Borough website www.jenkintownboro.com and paper copies are also available at Borough hall. The street cleaning can be more thorough and complete if vehicles are not on the street when the street is cleaned.
