Are you stuck with strands of old holiday string lights that aren’t working anymore? Or maybe you’ve heard about energy-saving LED lights and want to toss out your old traditional lights in favor of new ones? No matter what the reason, resist the urge of throwing away your unwanted holiday lights in the trash. Jenkintown Borough is collecting string lights on behalf of the Jenkintown Environmental Advisory Committee (JEAC) for recycling, now through January 15th in the vestibule at borough hall OR Jenkintown library during regular business hours! Your holiday lights will be collected and sent to an established light recycling program and be re-purposed and reused again without further damaging the environment.
