Update on Jenkintown Girls Basketball Parade

The Borough would like to remind its residents that the Jenkintown Girls Basketball Team Parade honoring the Lady Drakes is taking place this afternoon, Friday April 27th at 1:15 PM. The event will include a parade and ceremony in the Jenkintown Stadium. It is a rain or shine event.

Due to the rain, there will be a slight change in the parade route and ceremony location. The parade route will be as follows: Begin at the school tennis courts at the corner of Walnut Street and West Avenue and proceed down West Avenue, making a left onto Florence Avenue. The team will continue down Florence Avenue and turn left onto Greenwood Avenue. The parade will now conclude in the school cul de sac. The ceremony will no longer occur in the stadium, the ceremony will now take place in the school gymnasium. Jenkintown School District is urging residents of the Borough to enter using the main gymnasium doors on West Avenue. All other doors to the school will be locked and unavailable for entry to the public.

The School District and the Borough ask residents to line the sidewalks of West, Florence and Greenwood Avenues to show your support of this outstanding achievement! We hope to see everyone there.
Congratulations Lady Drakes!
