Borough Hall closed today, beginning at Noon

Due to the commercial cleaning and sanitizing currently taking place in Borough Hall, Jenkintown Borough hall will be closed to the Public today, August 10th, 2021 beginning at noon. Borough Hall / Administration will reopen for in person business by appointment at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 12th, 2021. 215-885-0700.

Although Borough Hall will be closed, Borough Administration will be working remotely in the Borough and will be able to respond to concerns through email or the Borough website.

“Outdoor Cinema Series”  Tomorrow Night  * Tickets Available Online *

The Hiway Theatre,  Jenkintown Community Alliance & The Moving Picture Cinema are excited to host their 1st of 2 family-friendly outdoor summer movie events. They will be bringing their “Outdoor Cinema Series” to the top rear parking lot of the historic Strawbridge and Clothier building (now Outback Steakhouse) at 610 Old York Rd, Jenkintown, PA 19046.

Bring the whole family to their outdoor screening tomorrow, Friday July 23rd. “We’ll be watching E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial with our friends at the top of the garage at the Strawbridge Building”. Tickets are available right now at www.hiwaytheater.org

PECO Underground Electric Installation

The Borough has been notified by PECO’s subcontractor, Miller Bros., that there will be temporary road and lane closures beginning  Monday, July 12, 2021.  These road closures are to ensure the contractor’s safety installing underground electric utilities.  The contractor indicated this project is expected to last approximately 4 to 6 weeks.  The roads affected by the electrical installations are Mather Spur closed between Township Line Road and Mather Road from 7:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M; Township Line Road will have lane closures between Washington Lane and Summit Avenue from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.

Residents will continue to have access to their properties during this process.  If you do not reside on this road please take another route during these times to avoid disruption of your travels.
