Jenkintown Borough is committed to supporting its business community through the Covid 19 emergency.   Consistent with that philosophy, at the May 2020 Council meeting, Jenkintown Borough passed resolution 2020-17 providing for a one-time reduction to the 2020 estimated Business Privilege and Mercantile Tax deposit payments due July 15 from 100% of the previous years tax liability to 80% of the previous years liability.  This decision will allow businesses to hold on to their precious economic resources and will more closely approximate the actual taxes due in 2021.   In another effort to support the business community,  The Borough had previiously extended the deadline for this filing from April 15 until June 15.
