2019 Sanitary Sewer Lining Project Update: Phase TWO, Monday, November 4, 2019

Spot Treatment of Water Main Sewers

National Water Main Cleaning Company completed Phase One of the 2019 Sanitary Sewer Project today, November 1st. Phase One included the scoping / videoing and cleaning of the sewer mains along the West Avenue Drainage Basin. This took place on Cedar, Walnut and Cottman Streets, Mather, Wyncote Vernon, Newbold and York Roads, West and Greenwood Avenues, Washington Lane and Township Line Road.

Phase Two is scheduled to begin on Monday, November 4th, 2019 on Newbold Road between Homestead Road & Washington Lane, Cottman Street between Homestead Road & West Avenue and Nice Avenue between Greenwood Avenue & Cottman Street from 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM. During this phase of the project the contractor, National Water Main Cleaning Company, will complete spot repairs. This work being completed at this time should not cause any disruption to water/sewer service to residents.

The roads will remain open but there may be intermittent temporary delays in the area to allow for life safety of personnel. Please use caution in the area or make plans to take an alternate route to avoid further disruption to your travels. Thank you for your patience and understanding while these necessary improvements are made.
