FREE Veterans’ Photo ID Discount Cards Available on June 6 at Rep. Steve McCarter’s Glenside Office

State Rep. Steve McCarter is invites veterans who reside in Montgomery County to apply for a veterans’ photo ID discount card at his district office. Provided through Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds Jeanne Sorg’s office, the card allows veterans who reside in Montgomery County to receive discounts for goods and services from a list of more than 500 participating Montgomery County merchants in honor of and appreciation for your service to our country.

You would normally have to make a trip to Norristown to receive this card. But on Thursday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., you can schedule a time to stop by Rep. McCarter’s office at 115 E. Glenside Ave., Suite 8, in Glenside for the 10-minute process. Barring tremendous volume, you’ll be able to leave with your card in hand.

You must RSVP and bring your paperwork—either a DD 214 or a DD 256—and a photo ID with you.

A veterans legislative specialist from U.S. Congresswoman Madeleine Dean’s office will be available at the same time to answer questions pertaining to veterans programs and issues. Congresswoman Dean’s office is just steps away from Rep. McCarter’s, in Suite 1 of the same complex.
