Arcadia University, in conjunction with the University’s Community and Civic Engagement Center, will host their MLK Day of Service, shredding, e-Waste and repurposing event at Murphy Hall from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM on January 21, 2019 as a way to honor the life and work of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. As new items may have made their way into your home last month – this is the perfect opportunity to remove those older items.
- Members of the community are encouraged to bring gently used items to be donated to local nonprofits including Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery and Delaware Counties, New Life, VeteransMC and Throwback thrift stores, Cradles to Crayons the Salvation Army and many others.
- All eWaste will be recycled by 611 Metals Recycling (all recycling will meet EPA regulations and all data will be destroyed)
- All paper will be shredded by Shredit
Volunteers will be on hand to help unload and sort through your donated and recycled items. Donations of clothing (particularly winter coats for adults and children) diapers, wipes, baby formula, working electronics, school supplies, new or gently used shoes, prom dresses, pet supplies and etc. will be welcomed. For a full list of items please click here! NO TELEVISIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
