If you have ever wondered about being a firefighter – here’s your chance. The Independent Fire Company of Jenkintown is proud to present Firefighter Camp, a free camp open to anyone over the age of 14, held by volunteers and members of the company. The camp will be held Thursday nights beginning on July 19th, July 26th and picking up again on August 16th, 23rd and 30th.

Topics will include ladders, rescue, hose operations, personal protective equipment including self-contained breathing apparatus’s, other fire ground equipment as well as fire safety. The camp is designed for participants between the ages of 14-18, however, interested adults are welcome to join and will be accommodated. All participants under the age of 18 will require parental/guardian written permission to attend.
