If you have ever wondered about being a firefighter – here’s your chance. The Independent Fire Company of Jenkintown is proud to present Firefighter Camp, a free camp open to anyone over the age of 14, held by volunteers and members of the company. The camp will be held on Thursday nights: July 19th, July 26th and picking up again on August 16th, 23rd and 30th.

Topics will include ladders, rescue, hose operations, personal protective equipment including self-contained breathing apparatus’s, other fire ground equipment as well as fire safety. The camp is designed for participants between the ages of 14-18, however, interested adults are welcome to join and will be accommodated. All participants under the age of 18 will require parental/guardian written permission to attend.
