The planning process has been completed. The required comment portion by the public, neighboring municipalities and all other entities has been completed. Jenkintown 2035 Comprehensive Plan is now entering the adoption phase. All aspects of the Comprehensive Plan from planning through adoption are regulated by the Pennsylvania Municipal Planning Code.
The final stages of adoption process will follow the schedule below:
- 6:30 PM, Thursday, May 17th, 2018. The Jenkintown Borough Planning Commission will hold a public meeting to present the 2035 Comprehensive Plan. The Montgomery County Planning Department will attend and offer a provide a public presentation of the 2035 Comprehensive Plan.
- 6:30 PM, Tuesday, June 19th, 2018. The Jenkintown Borough Planning Commission will hold a public meeting to present the 2035 Comprehensive Plan and compile final recommendations to Borough Council. The Montgomery County Planning Department will attend and offer a public presentation of the 2035 Comprehensive Plan.
7:30 PM, Wednesday, June 27th, 2018. The Jenkintown Borough Council will hold a Public Hearing at the regularly scheduled Borough Council meeting for consideration to adopt the Jenkintown Borough 2035 Comprehensive Plan.
