Reporting Potholes in the Borough

The multiple winter storms in our region have taken a toll on roads and have resulted in a significant number of potholes. Thankfully, Jenkintown Borough faired pretty well in comparison. However, please be cautious of potholes, especially if driving at night or during inclement weather as they are less visible.

The Jenkintown Public Works Department has been documenting the pothole locations and addressing them with temporary patch material as time and weather allows. Extreme cases are addressed immediately.

The Jenkintown Public Works Department is responsible for all Borough roads and PennDOT is responsible for any State roads that traverse Jenkintown Borough. To expedite the Borough’s response, it is recommended that you report potholes on Borough roads directly to the Borough by visiting  www. jenkintownboro.com and clicking on “Report a Concern”  or by calling Borough Hall at (215) 885-0700 . The Borough asks its residents to notify Borough Hall as well as PennDOT regarding state roads so the Borough may assist in helping its residents expedite repairs.

The following roads in Jenkintown Borough are owned and maintained by the State:

York Road between Wyncote Road and Rodman Avenue
Greenwood Avenue between York Road and Washington Lane
