Planning Commission, Admin. & Finance, B.Z.R. Committee Meetings Held Tonight

IMPORTANT REMINDER: LAST WEEKS COMMITTEE MEETINGS THAT WERE CANCELED DUE TO THE SNOW STORM ARE RE-SCHEDULED FOR THIS EVENING MARCH 26th.

Tonight the Planning Commission will meet at 6:30 PM and the Building Zoning & Revitalization / Administration & Finance Committee meetings will commence at 7:30 PM at Borough Hall. The Planning Commission will be re-organizing, appointing officers to the PC and accepting upcoming assignments including the 2035 Comprehensive Plan. Two presentations are scheduled for the B.Z.& R. Committee meeting; 1) SEPTA will be making a presentation on their flood mitigation construction project, 2) The developer for the proposed Helweg Development (currently Taco Bell) will be providing the requested study of the possible real estate tax implication research to the Committee. The agendas for both the BZ&R and A&F Committees are available on the Borough website at the address shown below:

We will be making other announcements on the following development but we wanted to take this opportunity to share a new feature on the Borough website. Borough Council recognized a desire to be able to observe Zoning Hearing Board, Conditional Use & Land Development Applications in other than the current traditional manner of visiting Borough hall and reviewing the applications in person (method still available as it is required by PA State Borough Code). The Borough performed the required research of legal implications and has designed a web page on the Borough website where an interested party can access any Zoning Hearing Board, Conditional Use or Land Development Applications that have been submitted to the Borough. The tab is amongst the other tabs on the left hand side of the Borough Website homepage (Currently highlighted in BLUE to delineate the tab). The link is shown below:

This page will assist Borough Council in maintaining the desire to not only be transparent but to provide the latest information through the latest methods as they become available.
If you should have any questions or comments we would welcome them as we continually work to improve communications.

If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to call, email or stop in to Borough Hall – (215) 885-0700
