The Summer Music Series is taking a break for the July 4 holiday. There will be no regular concert. Instead, the Recreation Board is hosting an “Americana Jam Session” in Town Square. The public is welcome to join some of the best local musicians in Jenkintown for an impromptu set of songs to celebrate Independence Day! Because this is not a normal concert, there are some things to know:

• The Rec Board WILL NOT be providing ice pops or water. So, please feel free to bring your own favorite beverage.
• The fun begins EARLY at 6pm. There is no set end time, but things should be over by 8pm.
• For musicians, when you show up, you can expect:
• • A PA system with a few mics and stands
  • Likely a drum set or two that can be shared RESPECTFULLY.
  • At least one guitar amp
  • Power strips
• Musicians should sign-up for an existing tune or add their own. We will do our best to provide everyone a chance to perform. Prepare in advance, if possible, but this event is about having fun.
• Musicians should try to arrive by 5:30pm for setup.
