Last summer the Jenkintown police observed many Jenkintown children practicing safety in our streets — such as using crosswalks, wearing a helmet on a bike or skateboard, and looking both ways before stepping off the sidewalk. About 100 of these children were “ticketed” and every ticket was redeemable for a prize donated by local businesses and organizations. (See below for the full list.)

It’s finally time to hold a raffle to present two lucky “defendants” from last summer with a pair of brand-new bikes, just in time for the arrival of warmer weather! The raffle prizes are a Fuji bike donated by Advanced Sports International, and a Trek bike donated by the Jenkintown Police Department.

IMPORTANT: If your child was ticketed as part of this program, and you would like them entered in the raffle, please send an email to mayor@jenkintownboro.comcreate new email with your name AND your child’s name, your address, and a phone number where you can be reached.  

The raffle will take place Saturday, April 2nd at the Rec Board’s Spring Egg Hunt event.
